"Transforming Historical Harms" is the product of Eastern Mennonite University's Coming to the Table, an organization providing leadership, resources and a supportive environment for those who seek to acknowledge and heal the wounds of racism. The "Transforming Historical Harms" manual provides a framework for addressing historical harms generally as well as those with roots in the U.S. practice of slavery. The framework looks at past and contemporary injustice through the lens of trauma, identifies the means by which historical trauma is transmitted across generations, and provides an integrated, comprehensive four-stage approach to transforming historical harms.
